    The practical unit is the Physical Intervention, in this unit candidates are taught how to deal with violent situations in the most non-aggressive and non-violent method which is approved by the SIA.

    Security guards can work on Corporate sites like: hospitals, schools, offices etc. They cannot work on premises where there is alcohol or entertainment (licensed premises) like: cinemas, shopping malls football stadiums, bars and clubs etc. for those premises you are required to have an SIA Door Supervision LicenceWe highly recommend that you choose the Door Supervision course over the Security Guarding as there are many more job opportunities with the Door Supervisors' Licence.

    Q: How is the course structured?

    This is a 1 day course starting at 10am and finishing at 5pm each day *delegates who are new to the workplace and have not worked in the field before may need to take more training. The CSCS Green Card course (Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment) consists of one multiple-choice exam which is marked by an external body. To pass this course, you will need to achieve 65% or above in the multiple-choice exam.

    Q: Do I get the CSCS Card from Securak?

    No, we don't apply for the card on your behalf, applying for the card on behalf of someone else can take up to twenty eight working days for the card to arrive, whereas if you apply for your own card you can receive it within one working day.

    Q: What do I need to do to get the CSCS Green Card?

    In order to obtain a CSCS Green Card candidates are required to attend and pass the Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment course and do the CITB Health, Safety & Environment test for Operatives before applying for the card.
